based at KADS - Addison
Airport. The purpose of our club is to provide members use
of club aircraft at reduced/reasonable rates to enjoy a wide
range of general aviation activities without the limitations
of normal renting, such as minimum daily charges.
We are moving/keeping the airplanes in fully-paved,
enclosed hangars with electricity as of 5/1/08.

1972 Cessna
182P (275HP)
We currently have (5) members and are taking applicants to
join our partnership/club in the potential purchase of a second
plane. Our first airplane is 1972 Cessna
182P, 275HP P-Ponk conversion, fixed-gear, Garmin 430 WAAS GPS/COM
with Traffic, S-Tec Slaved HSI, Garmin 340 Audio Panel, S-TEC
55X Autopilot, Garmin 496 with XM Weather and Radio.
It also has dual altimeters and vaccum pumps.
UPDATE: THE AIRPLANE BELOW DID NOT MEET OUR STANDARDS
FOR APPEARANCE OR EQUIPMENT. WE ARE ON THE HUNT
IDEAL PLANE:
1979+ 182RG (or earlier w/ wet wing STC), 155+ knots, <14gph
cruise, 1100 + useful load, Garmin stack (330,340,430 or 530,496),
HSI, Satellite weather, Autopilot (STEC 55x preferred) with
Glidscope coupling and Alt Preselect, Standby vacuum, backup
AI, fuel flow, engine monitor AND an upgraded horsepower conversion
or Turbo. Must be insurable for VFR pilots with 200 hours. $120-$160K
++ We are open/willing to consider
variations of the above.. including a non-Cessna, but we have
agreed that the width of a standard Mooney/Bonanza/Arrow does
not fit us at this time. We would like a HP, as well for climb/carrying
performance. Feel free to suggest other airplanes if you are
a seriously interested party withe the resources to join. We
are open minded.. to an extent. :)
Our fleet will consist of the two (speculating by ) Cessna
182 airplanes, one fixed gear and one retractable, until and
unless, we, as a group, decide to expand. The buy-in was $5,000.00
for a single share (currently 20%) in Addison Flyers LLC. This
is an equity share in the club.. meaning you will own 1/5th
(currently) of airplane and it's equity/liability. The monthly
fixed expenses for your share will be $400.00 per month. The
hourly rate will be $110.00 per hour for fixed and $140.00 per
hour . If we expand, the ownership percentage will decrease...
but remain equal.
We have automated computer reservations system that is available
via internet or phone (with speech recognition). We enjoy the
convenience of making or changing reservations 24 hours a day,
seven day a week!
Addison Flyers maintains a $1,000,000 liability coverage insurance
policy covering the club/members and 90% value coverage on the
aircraft.
The company was created and the airplane purchased in April/May
2007.
NOTE: Please no tire kickers and seriously decide whether
you are content with the Cessna platform, can afford the money
and have permission from your spouse :) , before you email us.
This is a hobby for us and we are all very busy, working individuals
that comprise the club. We know that we are priced higher than
everyone else, but we have BEAUTIFUL airplanes/equipment and
we are in full hangars at ADDISON - KADS, paying almost $6.00
for gas. Our club is perfect if you are in the near area, are
looking for convenience and want tremendous pride of ownership.
